Chris McCoy is a technician with the Grazingland Animal Nutrition Lab. He is currently seeking a Master of Science in Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management. His research project focuses on the use of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy to build a model to predict the amount of organic carbon in soil for carbon sequestration. He also collects and analyzes samples for several other projects including land management and cattle brand healing along with his work at the Grazingland Animal Nutrition Lab. Before joining the lab, Chris served in the United States Army as a Calvary Scout from 2005 to 2013. Following his years of military service, he attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where he earned his Bachelor of Science in organismal biology.
